General Questions

Can I deposit any Solana token into my Trojan wallet?

Yes! You can deposit any asset based on the Solana Network into your Trojan wallet. If you encounter issues with your deposit, try these troubleshooting steps:

  • Confirm onchain (using solscan.io) that you sent to the correct address and the transaction was successful
  • Verify you are using the proper, official bot link
  • If transferring from a centralized exchange (CEX), verify that your transfer has been completed directly from your exchange as delays are typical

If you've checked all these steps and your SOL still hasn't arrived, contact the support team in the official Telegram chat.

How long does bridging assets between Ethereum and Solana take?

Bridging typically takes approximately 18-35 minutes. You can always check your bridge status through the Mayan Bridge Explorer by searching with your wallet address.

What are the fees for using Trojan Bot?

Fees on Trojan are 0.9% with a referral or 1% without. Fees are only paid on successful transactions.

Trading Settings

What is the default slippage setting and how should I adjust it?

The default slippage setting on Trojan is 15%. We recommend adjusting your slippage setting up or down based on your individual trading style:

  • Higher volatility may require higher slippage
  • Lower volatility with bigger liquidity allows you to tighten your settings

If you frequently encounter timeouts or transaction failures due to "slippage exceeded", consider increasing your slippage percentage.

Note that Token22 and SPL22 token extensions may include taxes that affect the required slippage to successfully complete a transaction. Make sure your slippage setting takes these taxes into account.

What is a gas priority fee and how does it work?

A gas priority fee is paid to the network to prioritize your transaction and result in the fastest execution onchain. Trojan has three options:

  • Fast: 0.0015 SOL per transaction
  • Turbo: 0.0075 SOL per transaction
  • Custom: Set your own priority fee

Higher priority fees generally result in faster transaction confirmation times, which can be crucial in volatile market conditions.

What is MEV Protection and should I use it?

MEV Protection (JITO Slots) ensures that your transaction will be private and can't be attacked by MEV bots. By leveraging MEV Protection, your transaction can't be detected in a mempool to be frontrun.

To activate MEV Protection:

  1. Go to main menu (type /start) and click on "Settings"
  2. In Settings menu you can enable MEV Protect for Buys and Sells separately

Note: Approximately only 30% of Validators provide MEV Protected private transactions (JITO Slots), which is why it can slow down your transaction speed. If speed is your priority, you might consider disabling this feature.

Troubleshooting

Why am I getting "Failure - Slippage Exceeded" errors?

This error occurs when during execution and/or simulation your set slippage percentage was exceeded. To resolve this:

  • Increase your slippage setting
  • Use the "proceed anyway" button if available
  • If copy trading, update your slippage settings in your copy trade module
I'm getting "Insufficient funds for gas" errors. What should I do?

This error means you do not have sufficient SOL to execute the transaction. Check your priority tip settings and ensure you provide enough cushion for your selected priority tip, network and transaction fees.

Why am I getting "Failed to send transaction" when trying to sell?

This could indicate that you have been blacklisted/frozen (rugged) by the token. Check your token account on solscan.io by following these steps:

  1. Go to your wallet on solscan.io
  2. Navigate to portfolio
  3. Find the token you're looking for
  4. Click through to the account
  5. In the top right, check if the account is frozen

If the account is frozen, unfortunately, you won't be able to sell this token.

Why can't I see a token in my sell menu or positions?

The token might be hidden. Check your hidden tokens in settings and unhide the token to see it in your positions and your sell menu.

Go to Settings -> Show/Hide Tokens to manage your visible tokens.

Copy Trading

My copy trading isn't working. How can I troubleshoot?

If your copy trading is not working, try these troubleshooting steps:

  1. Confirm you've activated the copy trade module by clicking ➕Add
  2. Confirm you have the appropriate target wallet set up
  3. Review solscan.io to ensure your target wallet is trading in supported pools:
    • Supported pools: Raydium AMM, CLMM, Meteora and Jup Routed Trades
    • Unsupported pools: Directly through ORCA, or Flux
  4. Check solscan.io to ensure you are not copying a sniper or custom program:
    • Open a buy transaction in legacy mode
    • If you see "Interact with System Program" you cannot copy this wallet
    • If only copying sells, review for custom program in a buy transaction

Note that proper sniper bots spam hundreds or thousands of transactions and cannot be copied. Snipers often leverage custom programs that cannot be copied. Additionally, Trojan doesn't support copy trading custom programs, because they can be malicious and fake swaps to exploit copy trading bots.
